The owner and Executive chef Mr Rajendra Rana is one of the best known chefs in the world specializing in Indian cuisine. He started his career as a chef in Bombay India and then ultimately as owner of the Raj Mahal after an amazing world wide career. Hailing from the mountains of the Himalayas, Rajendra has been very close to the art of cooking since childhood. He trained to be a chef at Dadar Catering college, Bombay, India and was a chef at many 5 star hotels in India and abroad including the Leela Palace and The Retreat. He later travelled to France and Switzerland and Nigeria spreading the taste of Indian cuisine all over the world.
For the past 16 years Rajendra has been heading an Indian Restuarant, Nirvana in New Orleans, Louisiana and now he is the head chef at The Raj Mahal.
